Woodholmes shine at Ipswich

Woodholme Construction has finished a £2.1m pound project at Ipswich Academy for leading main contractor Balfour Beatty.

The new academy school saw Woodholmes successfully take the site from greenfield to completion including bulk muckshift, bulk excavation and foundations in the form of reinforced groundbeams and pile caps.

Also within Woodholme’s package was a full reinforced concrete ground and upper floor slab installation. Externally Woodholmes undertook all the surface and foul water drainage systems along with kerbing and surfacing to roads and car parking areas.

The scheme’s finishing touches were in the form of a full size third generation artificial sports pitch, fully fenced and floodlit, all constructed within house at Charles Lawrence Surfaces / Woodholme Construction.
